Art in glass…glass in art. Alex Da Corte’s “Rubber Pencil Devil” marks the artist’s contribution to the 57th Carnegie International Exhibition. This minimalist structure — 16 feet high by 22 feet long by 16 feet wide — was constructed with aluminum beams and supports that rise to a pitched roof. Covering over 350 square feet inside the “house” Lucid’s transparent glass flooring with neon lighting below was the perfect material to complete the artist’s vision for this amazing exhibit.
Tempered Laminated Low Iron Glass with Lucid’s UL Approved Slip Resistant Walking Surface. Due to the large size of these panels, SentryGlas Plus (SGP) was used as the interlayers between the glass to add strength and stiffness.
