Atrium Floor Dinosaur Fossil Display

 Project Description:

At the Loomis Chaffee School in Connecticut, history is beneath your feet.  When the Rogan Atrium was designed to house a rare collection of fossilized dinosaur footprints, the vision was to create a viewing platform that offered crystal-clear visibility without compromising the safety of the prehistoric sandstone below.

Lucid Glass Studio manufactured a 118″ x 68″ walkable glass panel to display the dinosaur footprints illuminated in a display below the floor. The glass panel, weighing over 1,100 lbs was carefully installed by technicians from Commercial Storefront Services providing strength, historical protection, and architectural elegance.
